One Rupee Note Governer C.E. Jones  1940

First Issued in 1944 on Machine made paper with Watermark profile portrait of George VI to right. In Lieu of the portrait on the right 1940 Silver coin of George VI was depicted in obverse and reverse. Withdrawn from circulation on 27th October 1957.
